Day 1 Patch (1.1)


After doing some more testing, it has come to my attention that certain abilities were a little too useful, so they have been adjusted for simplicity and to reduce the overall power of the class (especially at higher levels).

  • Launch only gets one use now instead of two, but it can be split up as you split up movement. Additionally, the ability to use it without a surface is moved to 6th level instead of 9th level.
  • Lancet has been moved from 5th level to 6th level to split up the power jump at 5th level.
  • Terrifying Presence (the main culprit) now takes an action instead of a bonus action.
  • The Mystic Energy Extraction allows recharging Energy Expulsion with two hit dice instead of one. 
  • They Mystic's Path Beyond now use two hit dice as an action to recharge instead of one hit die and a bonus action.

Overall, these changes keep the class a little more contained and simple. With extra attack and the additional jump capabilities, it really didn't need all the extra power from two Launches and a bonus action 30-foot radius fear ability.
